Our leadership team is made up of caring and compassionate members of the Eritrean community of Toronto. They come from all walks of life but share one common goal of the betterment of the lives of Eritrean-Canadians.

Jonathan

Jonathan is a community organizer, real estate entrepreneur and 3rd year real estate management major at Ryerson University. As co-founder of New Nakfa he has had the pleasure of being able to leverage his entrepreneurial and community organizing experience to furthering the growth of the organization. Jonathan is the product of past community work and continues to look for ways in which he can use what he’s been given to plant seeds, for the youth of tomorrow.

I don’t believe we are outnumbered, we are out organized.

Natnael

Natnael is a paramedic in Toronto that loves dedicating his time towards philanthropy and community engagement. As a co-founder of New Nakfa he has had the privilege of supporting and mentoring Eritrean youth throughout Toronto. Natnael has gained plenty of experience in his time as a paramedic and hopes to share that knowledge with our youth for them to grow and prosper.

Rora

Rora is a 3rd year Political Science major at York University with high hopes in becoming a future diplomat. Her life goal is to contribute to furthering the development of Eritrea in addition to the Eritrean-Toronto diaspora. Rora is also a soccer coach within the Eritrean community having grown up playing with EQAO. As a New Nakfa coordinator, she hopes to increase engagement and create a more unified Eritrean community.

The game is going to test you but never fold, stay 10 toes down. It's not on you, it's in you and what's in you they can't take away.

Andrew

Andrew is a third year business administration student at Humber college, with high hopes of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Some may know him through volunteering at a number of NewNakfa events in the past and as an occasional coach of the Sunday soccer program at ECAO. Andrew hopes to use his skills to have a positive impact on our community. Through events geared to all age groups he believes NewNakfa can strengthen and uplift upcoming generations.
